Steampunk Hats

Hats, and Top Hats are a particular specialty of mine.  Over the years, I have created custom, one of a kind hats for people around the world, for personal use, special events, theatrical use and artistic display.  My hats are sculptures, but are also intended to be used.

I make hats by hand, or can modify an existing hat to your specifications, and can create custom appliances to ad to your own hat.

Basic information on ordering, prices and more is available at the bottom of this page. Please feel free to contact me with any questions: killbuck25@gmail.com

This modification technique uses a standard wool felt top hat, A variety of treatments are applied as well as very light weight materials, polymer resin castings and special paint applications. I can modify your top hat in this method, or I can supply the hat.

I cast many of the components used on my hats from a special very light polymer resin.  Example shown here is an antique clock key.

What can I say? It's marvelous.
One of my earliest sculptural hats, made in 2004. Made from light weight foams. Looks impossibly heavy, but in reality very light.

How to order

The first step is to contact me with an idea.  I'm happy to develop drawings on your ideas and to work with you to develop a concept.

Generally, most fully constructed hats range in price from 300 to 450 dollars, and the price will vary depending on the level of design and complexity.

Modified hats start at 150 dollars (which includes the cost of the hat) or at 100 dollars if you supply the hat.  Again, prices vary depending on the level of design and complexity.

Contact me regarding the cost of hat appliances such as wing sets, mechanical panels etc., and I can develop a quote based on the design.

I do require a 30% deposit on orders, and the final cost will include shipping.

I have, and prefer when possible, to handle transactions through PayPal.
